The Lake of Fire
The Lake of Fire is a real place that is prepared but not yet in use. Many Christians use the general term "hell" to describe both the temporary place for the unrighteous and the eternal place of Judgment. This week we will be looking at what the lake of fire is and what it is for.
Monday: Revelation 19:19-20:15; 21:8; 2:11; I John 5:4-5
Question: Who is the lake of fire described as? Who will be placed there? When is this judgment taking place? Are there temporary places of judgment described in the passage? Who can the second death not harm? Why?
Tuesday: Matthew 25:31-46; Jude 1:6-7
Question: How long does this judgment last according to the passages? Who is described as going to the judgments? What are the two titles of Christ in Matthew? Whose throne is He sitting on? When will this happen? Who was the Lake of Fire originally prepared for?
Wednesday: Matthew 13:41-50
Question: What are the two ways the Lake of Fire is described in this passage? Who are the ones placing them in the Lake of Fire? When does this take place? What does the description of the Lake of Fire make you think abour?
Thursday: Mark 9:43-48; Matthew 5:21-30; 18:8-9
Question: Is this place of judgment real or allegory? Why are men put in this place? Is this true for the church? When will this happen? What are the different ways the Lake of Fire is described in this context?
Friday: II Thessalonians 1:4-9
Question: Who is included in this judgment according to this passage? Who is not included? Why should this passage give hope to the believer? How does this passage help the believer endure persecution? How is this judgment described?
Saturday: Matthew 23:13-15; 10:28; Luke 12:5: Romans 8
Question: Why were the Pharisees making sons of Hell? What does the Pharisee get for what he has done? When does he get it? Who is the only one with authority to place people into the Lake of Fire? What does Romans 8 have to do with our hope when we see the reality of the Lake of Fire? Thank God for the provisions and promises through our Lord Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE. . .
IN THE VERBAL INSPIRATION OF THE SCRIPTURES, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament, which is the final authority for faith and practice, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God breathed. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21).
IN THE TRINITY, that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17; Genesis 1:26; John 10:30). Each has the same nature, attributes and perfections.
IN THE VIRGIN BIRTH, that thus Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man (Matthew 1:18-23; Philippians 2:5-11; John 1:1-3,14).
What is the Gospel of Salvation?
By Pastor Phil Benson

There are many theories as to what really saves a man. Some believe that you have to just "believe on Jesus" or "know that you are a sinner and ask God for forgiveness" while other say that you have to "call on the name of the Lord". As you look at the scriptures you see the fact that there is a specific gospel concerning salvation. A gospel is simply a good news.
